Winter Goals....Knit

So at the start of the winter I had a few goals:

1) Run a marathon... check
2) Play my cello more...check
3) Learn how to knit...

So, I decided what better way to learn how to knit then start a knitting club. Every Thursday night a group of girls gather in my living room and we share food, life and yarn. It is one of my favorite moments of the week when knitting night rolls around. My knitting career started out with a very simple orange head band that was filled with many mistakes. Since then my knitting career has been progressing and I am very excited about my latest creation, I like to call it the "Picasso" of my knitting career and I wanted to share it with you guys. I got my dear friend and band mate to model the headband when I finished. Thanks for rockin' it Kayla!! Doesn't she look good with a banjo and that headband?

Avocado Farms and Beaches

Well, I guess this is my first official blog. I am
hoping that eventually Kris will write the blogs and I can post the pictures. Here's a little slice of our weekend. We were able to return to the spot we got engaged, sleep on an avocado farm and lay on the beach. It was a wonderful weekend and I'm thankful for those peaceful moments that allow me to enter back into the chaos of life.
