THAILAND

Hey Folks, Well, we've been in Thailand for about 2 weeks now and it is a wonderful place!! We have seen some of the most beautiful and most heartbreaking things in the world in such a short time. So much to take in and process. We spent a time on the beach rock climbing, a time snorkeling, and most recently we have been with a ministry that provides a way for girls to get out of prostitution. I learned today that there are 20,000+ girls that work the streets of Pattaya. It has been an eye opening expereince but only continued to affirm my call and love for women. Here are a few photos of the past few weeks. You can also keep up with us on our joint blog: thewandering4.wordpress.com  Kris is a much better writer than I am so check it out! Love you all, would love to hear how life is going for you! Here's a few random photos from our trip so far.....

Goodbye Flagstaff

Oh Flagstaff....how my soul shall miss thee and all the wonderful faces you embody.

Our last week in Flagstaff is winding down and I am sad. I have finished my time up at work and that was much harder than I imagined it would be. I truly loved my job and my co-workers and will greatly miss that season of my life! Here are a few of the faces and moments that life has given us over the last few weeks. We will be driving our home out of Flagstaff on Friday and then heading for Thailand on the 22nd. We are so excited for the season to come but sad to leave what we have here. Why is saying goodbye always so hard?!

Dear Flagstaff,
Thank you for filling my life with beautiful flowers and beautiful people.
Love
Meli

One Year of Bliss......

As of August 8th.....Kris and I have been married for a year!!  Some people told us that the first year would be the hardest year because we would have to get used to living together, do eathother's laundry, getting used to the others habits. If this was on of the hardest years then this is going to be an incredible life that we lead. For our anniversary we went down to Sedona, picked blackberries and stayed in the same room we stayed at last year. EPIC.... partially because sleeping in a bed and taking a shower is epic in of itself right now. Here are some photos to give you a taste of our weekend.

Year old wedding cake... it was surprisingly delicious!!
